Marcus King and The Travers Brothership cover “Black Hearted Woman” by the Allman Brothers

The Travers Brothership have released an impressive video from their recent Echo Sessions performance.  Filmed at Echo Mountain Recording Studio in Asheville, this session features a number of original cuts and an eye opening cover of The Allman Brothers “Black Hearted Woman” featuring none other than SC native Marcus King.

Black Hearted Woman feat. Marcus King

Marcus King has been a busy man as of late.  Off the heals of an incredible summer run of shows and his third LP Carolina Confessions, Marcus will be pulling double duty this weekend at the famed Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.  The Black Crowes offshoot As The Crowe Flies is set to play a two night NYE run with support from The Marcus King Band.  King will also be playing guitar alongside Audley Freed in As The Crowe Flies both nights.

Following the success of their first album I Don’t Mind EP, The Travers Brothership began touring nationally in 2013 and has since performed 400+ concerts across the United States.  Their sound is a unique blend of Soul/Funk/Rock/Jam music that at times leans more in favor of Americana.

The Travers Brothership play their CD release party (sophomore LP Let The World Decide) Thursday night at the Neighborhood Theatre with support from rising Charlotte act DownTown Abby and The Echoes.
