People’s Blues of Richmond make their return to Charlotte on Thursday to headline the Canteen Room at Heist Brewery in NoDa.

People’s Blues of Richmond (PBR) is one of those rare three-pieces that somehow conjures the sonic power and visual intensity of a thunderstorm. Think Jimi Hendrix Experience meets MC5. They take psychedelic blues rock to a different level with a lyrical element seldom found in the genre. Think Bob Dylan writing lyrics for Black Sabbath songs. It’s hard to imagine until it’s right in your face. Then it’s hard to forget.

PBR landed on most people’s radar after their mesmerizing performance opening up the main stage on Saturday at LOCKN’ in 2018 (they also played LOCKN’ in 2014).  Most recently they electrified those on hand to see their opening set for TAUK in February at The Visulite.

Charleston based Rare Creatures will be in support.
