Steady Flow To Welcome ReeCee and Royal City LiF Friday Night

The funk and hip-hop worlds are set to collide Friday night at Heist Brewery for a can’t miss collaboration.

Midwest funk quintet Steady Flow is set to play Heist Brewery Friday night and will welcome Charlotte hip-hop artists ReeCee and Royal City LiF as special sit-in guests throughout the evening.  DJ Dangfunky will get the night started with a pre-show dance party spinning all the classic funk and soul.

ReeCee is a local hip-hop artist originally from Pittsburgh, PA and a recent recipient of the female hip-hop artist of the year award at the 12th Annual Queen City Music Awards.  She has performed all over the Queen City in recent months and has had high-profile appearances at Nascar Speed Street, SoulFull Vegan Festival, and RAW Artist showcase at the Fillmore.

ReeCee will be performing in support of her recent EP Diary Of A Pothead, which dropped a few months ago.

Royal City LiF or LiF (pronounced “leaf”)  is a rapper-producer based out of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

Born in Queens and grew up in Harlem and the Bronx, NY, LiF has been able to draw influences from a variety of his experiences. His musical undertones resemble the flows and grooves of the golden-era combined with the bounce of the South.

You can hear the appreciation that he has for North Carolina living, family, and the southern influences that have been implemented into his sound.  The attention to detail in his lyrics combined with rich, melodic flows, sticky hooks, and smooth captivating beats, accented with trunk shaking Kicks and 808’s, creates the one-of-a-kind sonic experience that stands out as it bridges the gap between the past and now.

LiF just recently dropped a video for his new track ANTHR.LEVEL which you can check out below.
