The No Contact Concert Series will welcome Josh Daniel’s Grateful Band (JDGB) on Saturday night starting at 8pm
A veteran Charlotte musician who has shared the stage with John Cowan, Larry Keel, Sam Bush, Ronnie McCoury and Billy Strings, it’s been well documented that Josh Daniel has been going live everyday at 5pm since stay-at-home orders were given by the state of NC to help “flatten the curve” of hospitalizations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The daily “Quarantine Sessions” have allowed Daniel to continue to provide for his family amidst a halt in live events across the music industry. The virtual tip jar income along with his recent ramp up in merch sales have proven to be a sustainable model for now.
The Saturday night steam will find him teaming up with his JDGB band mates Jason Hawthorn (guitar), Curtis Wingfield (drums), Russ Betenbaugh (keys) and Jeremy Shaw (bass).
The goal of the No Contact Concert Series is to utilize their large warehouse facility and create an online space where artists and production staff can work together to stretch the boundaries of traditional performance formats. All live streaming events will be shot multi-cam style with up to 6 cameras while providing board quality sound.
